Journey plan of Gangtok Lachen Lachung Tour
Upon arrival at NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport, you'll be greeted and transferred to Gangtok. Check in at your hotel and spend the evening exploring the local market or nearby areas at your leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay in Gangtok.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, a stunning alpine lake located at an altitude of 12,000 feet near the Indo-China border. Here, you can indulge in snow activities and even take a Yak ride. Proceed to the revered Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir before returning to your hotel in Gangtok for the night. Optionally, you can arrange a tour to Nathula Pass (subject to permit availability and additional cost).
Begin your journey from Gangtok to Lachung after breakfast, covering a distance of 117 kilometres in approximately 6.5 hours. Check in at your hotel upon arrival and spend the evening exploring the picturesque Himalayan village on your own. Overnight accommodation will be in Lachung.
Rise early for breakfast and head out for a day of sightseeing in Lachung. Your itinerary includes a visit to Yumthang Valley, renowned for its scenic beauty and hot springs. After breakfast, depart Lachung and return to Gangtok, a journey spanning 125 kilometres and taking about 5 to 6 hours. En route, make stops at Singhik and Mangan, and if weather permits, enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan range, with Khangchendzonga Peak standing prominently. Upon reaching Gangtok, spend the evening at leisure, perhaps exploring M G Road or indulging in local shopping. Stay overnight in Gangtok.

Rise early to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha from Tiger Hill (at 04:00 AM). On your return, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, explore Darjeeling further with visits to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P. N. Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, Tea Garden, Peace Pagoda, and Japanese Temple. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
On your last day, if time permits, enjoy the optional Himalayan Heritage Joy Ride aboard the Toy Train (ticket at your own expense).
